How to Launch Digital Marketing Strategies

Launching digital marketing strategies is essential for almost any type of business in today’s competitive landscape. Why might this be? Digital marketing allows companies to intelligently target their potential customers where they spend much of their time – online. Launching digital marketing strategies can save a business time and money if done correctly versus traditional marketing tactics. So the question is, what can you do to launch digital marketing strategies?

Step 1: Learn Who Your Customers Are

I’d recommend learning everything you can about who your current customers are. You can also build a strategy to learn about who is interested in your product/service via Google Analytics. It’s important to collect information such as demographics, psychographics, and other relevant information to launch digital marketing strategies for your specific business.

Step 2: Decide Where to be Online

After you’ve finished analyzing who your customers and prospective customers are, you should decide on where to be represented online. I’d definitely start with a professional website. You should also be on social media, but don’t try to be everywhere at the same time. Start with one or two social networks until you are performing at a high level. It’s important to compare who your customers are with where customers spend their time on social. You can check out my infographic on United States online adults statistics. There are many other digital marketing strategies you should analyze to determine if they fit your business’ goals.

Step 3: Analyze and Improve

Whichever strategies you choose to launch digital marketing in your organization, you should also create a culture of analyzing and improving. If a red button gets twice as many clicks to your call to action page over the blue button, perhaps you should look into switching all your buttons to red. A/B tests are a great way to compare two factors in your efforts. Without going too crazy into statistics, you can plug in your results in this A/B significance test to see if your results are statistically significant.
